The spread of COVID-19 to more countries throughout the world has caused widespread cancellation and postponement of events worldwide. Some companies are also advising their staff not to travel at the moment.
Caribbean Airlines has joined other international airlines to waive change fees on tickets or to refund monies if the person wishes to cancel their travel plans. Note this does not include travel between Trinidad and Tobago at this time.
Personal Experience
I was actually booked on Caribbean Airlines to travel during March 2020. My conference was changed from an in-person conference to a live event over the internet as cases began to appear in the city I was supposed to be travelling to. A simple call to Caribbean Airlines at their 1 868 625 7200 number allowed me to speak to an agent. Once I quoted the ticket numbers the agent asked why I was no longer travelling. Once I explained she placed me on hold for about five minutes. She then indicated that in 15-21 business days I will have a refund to my card. I was not impressed with the length of time they indicated the refund processing will take but I am glad that they are allowing the refund and are waiving the fees for persons who wish to shift their travel dates.
