The Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago released the designs today for New Polymer Bank Notes. There is currently a new polymer $100 bill which was launched in December 2019.
The $1, $5, $10 and $20 bills will also have polymer notes by September 2020. The $50 bill is already a polymer bill however appears that the $50 bill’s design may also be adjusted to match the new $100 polymer bill.
Unlike the $100 bill Central Bank has indicated that the new polymer notes will co-circulate for at least a year and four months. The new notes will be in circulation with existing notes from Sep 2020 to Dec 2021.
