Jamaica just announced its second case of the COVID-19 virus in the country. The Minister of Health and Wellness in Jamaica, Chris Tufton announced it via his Twitter account.

The first case is a female patient who returned from the UK for a funeral. The second case is a US embassy employee who also returned from the UK.
The Jamaican government also announced that they will be refusing and rescinding event approvals over the next fourteen days. This will have a direct impact of Carnival events in Jamaica. Some fete promoters have already begun to cancel events
