A video is circulating on Whats app alledgedly showing the differences between a counterfeit $100 bill and the new $100 polymer bill.
Trinidad and Tobago Central Bank introduced the new polymer bill in December 2019 and discontinued the old bill Dec 31 2019.
The differences between the two bills highlighted on the video includes
- The clear window not looking see through with writing over it.
- The real bill lights up when placed under the counterfeit machine while the counterfeit bill does not.
- The bird is a little different in the counterfeit bill
- The braille was present but felt different as if created with a pin.
